@liddabitt just curious, considering all genres of music, what would you consider top five love songs of the last, say, 50 to 60 years?

Simon and Garfunkel- Bridge Over Troubled Water Everly Brothers-All I have To Do Is Dream Sinead O'Connor- Nothing Compares To You Chris Isaak- Wicked Game Tears for Fears- Head Over Heels. Smokey Robinson You Really Got A hold On Me Cyndi Lauper- Time After Time and many others I am probably forgetting at the moment


@tiggersgirl74 What would be your second choice if you could no longer practice your current profession?

Definitely still the arts in some capacity, acting, painting, or perhaps I would have kept playing baseball or got more into bowling. Music is my first love and greatest passion hands down.

@lorijobelle If u could travel back in time, when & where would u b & what occupation would u choose???

So many great incredible possibilities here. Its like if they asked me to write another Back To The Future script with myself as the main character. I'd still prefer to be a songwriter and musician but I can't seem to narrow down one specific place, my imagination is going nuts. To be a pro ball player in New York in the 50's and 60's would have been amazing. To be a musician or card player in Europe or Cuba in the early 50's.

This happens often when I'm writing. I keep odd hours.


@llisa1984 what instruments do you play, what is your preferred choice and why?

I play guitar,bass,keyboards, and a little drums. Guitar is my main instrument but I've been playing and writing on the piano and keyboards a lot more the past 6 months. Guitar was my main thing from the start cause I was into Rock n' Roll and drawn to it.
who or what was your biggest influence?

@llisa1984 who or what was your biggest influence?

It changes often. My own life and the life of others I have observed and other musicians and writers inspire and influence me in their own way. Bob Marley, Julian Casablancas, Leonard Cohen, Joe Strummer etc. Films also often influence and spark my imagination to write.



@tanya_dore What did you think of Clash of the Titans?

I remember liking the original as a kid, I think I still might have it on VHS. I am not interested in seeing the re-make. I heard it wasn't good, I saw Hot Tub Time Machine though and that was hysterical. Great films I've seen recently that I really enjoyed. Broken Embraces, An Education, Good Hair, Extract, Coco Before Chanel, Bright Star, Up In The Air, Precious, Where The Wild Things Are, Everybody's Fine, and The Cove.



@tanya_dore How was your Easter weekend? Hope you were able to spend it with family.

It was lovely, thanks! Yeah I spent the holiday with my family. My nephews went insane hunting for eggs and eating candy. I ate and relaxed.


@Findlay19 When are The Shys touring again? Any chance they will make a stop in Utah?

The Shys are on hiatus and I am working hard on a new project, which will mean a new record and touring sometime this year, music this summer and touring this fall I am guessing. I am insanely excited. Its by far my greatest musical effort to date. When I do tour I hope Utah is one of the stops, its gorgeous there.




@Findlay19 are they Girl Scout cookies?

No, those are amazing though. These were from Trader Joes, also amazing.


@busan71 so - a question - when will you debut the song about @GUBLERNATION and his delorean :)and where do you draw inspiration for your music?

I'd love for that song to be on the next record I put out and I think it will be. Maybe Matthew and I will organize a single release for this summer, I know he is working on artwork for it. At the moment I just have a home recording of the song and I need to get in the big studio and record the final version. I was very pleased with the way the song came out and Gubler loved it. We are planning on making a video for it which I have a feeling will be pretty magical. In the case of that particular song I drew inspiration from Matthew and John Delorean himself (his story is crazy) and my own fascination and adoration for the futuristic visions of the 1980's.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIANNI

In celebration of one of Gianni’s (my oldest nephew) milestone Birthdays (5th) I decided to mark the occasion with a short interview to get a closer look inside the heart and mind of this uniquely amazing boy.

What do you want for your birthday?
I want mighty beans that flip and flop and drop to drop and they are so magical and they say "some are rare and some are hot"

What are your favorite movies?
I have a commercial that I always like. the mighty bean commercial.

But whats your favorite movie?
um ummm uh uh Spider Man and uh Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, and Cars.

What kind of car do you want?
Frank the big monster truck guy

But what kind of car do you want when you grow up?
A Warrior truck cause I'm a warrior

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?
It would be like in the North Pole because I love going ice skating, and you know where else I am gonna go after Ice Skating I am gonna go to the mountains where its very cold and throw snowballs at my Mommy Daddy and Xander (little brother)...

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Rockstar Warrior

Whats your favorite way to spend the day?

Go to the ice cream shop and have some ice cream, playing and balancing this basket (what he is currently doing) and having a special date with Grandma and going to Toys R Us.

Oh yeah Chuckie Cheese or the Pizza Place on my day off.

Day off, what do you mean, do you work?

Work yeah, I always work. I play that’s how I work.

Favorite foods?

Candy that’s my favorite food, and its always nummy in the tummy.

Whats your favorite thing about school?

Um I dunno, relaxing and having a drink at school.
